Fort Lauderdale Beach Update

Fort Lauderdale's central beach area will be soon undergoing over $70 million of City improvement projects, as well as a variety of private development plans, stretching from Sunrise Blvd to near Bahia Mar.

Among the City projects are streetscapes and parking improvements, new garages, a possible realignment of Las Olas at AIA, a possible expanded marina in the Birch-Las Olas parking lot, and building a surf shop on current "park" space across from SHOF pool.

While many of these have been under discussion for years and the proposals keep evolving, the process may start proceed more rapidly now the District 2 election is over. Our speakers will discuss both City and private-sector plans and time-frames.
