Hear presenters from The City of Fort Lauderdale on the Downtown Master Plan and how it will be incorporated into the City’s code to promote positive redevelopment throughout our Downtown and sets forth the City’s vision for the future of Downtown Fort Lauderdale.
The Downtown Master Plan details the Downtown’s potential and provides a blueprint for creating an active urban center with a variety of public spaces and transportation options as well as a mix of uses, including housing, shopping, employment and entertainment opportunities. The focus of this effort is on the quantitative elements that guide the form of buildings and design of streets. In addition, the code changes will address downtown character areas, transition zones, open space provisions, and application of the standards to residential and nonresidential development.
