While Legislative leaders say they have a general agreement on a budget, lawmakers had to approve an extension of the regular session because they didn’t finalize a spending plan.

House and Senate leaders said late Friday they had reached agreement on a “framework” for a budget deal but lawmakers are expected to return to the Capitol during the week of May 12 to negotiate details.Fort Lauderdale Forum program on May 15 will be an in-depth look at what this Legislature is deciding on as to the budget for Florida, as well as the bills which passed and failed in the session.
