* Jonathan R. Turton, MBA, FACHE, Chief Executive Officer of Broward Health Medical Center.
Turton is responsible for the overall leadership of the 716-bed acute care hospital, which includes a Level I trauma center and is the flagship of Broward Health. He is charged to direct Broward Health Medical Center’s overall administration and related hospital operations to assure high-quality patient care and service in collaboration with Broward Health’s executive team.
Mr. Turton is a seasoned healthcare leader having led multiple hospitals in senior roles. With more than 20 years of combined healthcare administration and general management experience, Turton most recently served as chief executive officer at Baptist Medical Center, the downtown flagship hospital for the Baptist Health System, in San Antonio, Texas, where he managed $288M annual net patient revenue. Prior to his time as CEO, he was Baptist Medical Center’s chief operating officer. He was also vice president of clinical services for St. Joseph Health System in Bryan, Texas, and acted as vice president of outpatient services and vice president of rehabilitation services and business development.

* Heather Havericak, MSN, CPON, FACHE, Chief Operating Officer at Broward Health Medical Center and Salah Foundation Children’s Hospital and is responsible for daily operations of the organization.
Havericak has been at Broward Health Medical Center since 2006. She has served in various management positions overseeing a number of teams in her 12 years at BHMC, most recently serving as director of Product Line Services. She has also held the positions of regional director of Oncology Service Line, and nurse manager of the Pediatric Oncology and Sickle Cell Transition Program and Pediatric Palliative Care.
Ms. Havericak has served on numerous Broward Health committees including as an administrator of the Pediatric and Adult Cancer Committee, chair of the Palliative Care Committee, Breast Program leadership, co-chair of the Cancer Quality Subcommittee, co-chair of the Chemotherapy Utilization and Financial Oversight Committee, member of Pharmacy and Therapeutics, member of the Regional Lab Improvement Committee, member of the Regional Quality Council, member of Leadership and Accreditation Oversight Committee, chair of Research Development Committee for Broward Health System, member of Research Oversight Committee, member of Physician Oncology Utilization and Peer Review, Grants Committee member, chair of System Wide Oncology Task Force, Term Architect, and Young Presidents Council Member. Havericak serves as the current Chairman of the Board of Directors for Gilda’s Club of South Florida.
